2. The title of these regulations is the Environment and Development Planning Act (Transfer of Assets, Rights, Liabilities, Obligations, and Functions) Regulations.
3. As from the 4th April 2016 all receivables and rights, liabilities and obligations of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority shall be assigned to and continue to have effect with regard to the Planning Authority as if made under the Development Planning Act. Citation.
4. As from the 4th April 2016 all functions currently carried out by the Planning Directorate of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority shall be assumed by the Planning Authority established under the Development Planning Act, and all the functions currently carried out by the Environment Protection Directorate of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority shall be assumed by the Environment Resources Authority established under the Environment Protection Act. Functions currently carried out by the Planning Directorate of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority to be assumed by the Planning Authority. Cap.

7. As from the 4th April 2016 the Planning Authority established under the Development Planning Act, and the Environment and Resources Authority established under the Environment Protection Act, shall be delegated to assign and transfer any other assets, rights, liabilities, obligations and functions of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority by the 31st of July

12. As from the 4th April 2016 all functions currently carried out by the Directorate of Corporate Services and all functions currently carried out by the Enforcement Directorate shall be temporarily assigned and assumed by the Planning Authority established under the Development Planning Act, until permanently assigned in accordance with regulation

18. As from the 1st March 2017, the Environment and Resources Authority established under the Environment Protection Act shall be permanently and exclusively assigned all compliance and enforcement responsibilities as established under the Environment Protection Act.
