2. The title of these regulations is Medical Council Regulations. Title.
3. In all cases concerning the application of articles 95 to 101 of the Code of Police Laws and of any regulations made under article 102, the Council shall include three additional members holding a warrant to practise as architects and civil engineers not employed in the Department of Health, one of whom shall be nominated by the Chamber of Architects. 5. For the purposes of inquiries concerning physicians, dental surgeons and dentists, apothecaries, and midwives to be held under the provisions of the Medical and Kindred Professions Ordinance, the Council shall include as additional members three licensed physicians in the case of inquiries concerning physicians, three licensed dental surgeons in the case of inquiries concerning dental surgeons or dentists, three licensed apothecaries in the case of inquiries concerning apothecaries and three midwives in the case of inquiries concerning midwives. Such three additional members shall be nominated by the majority of the licensed physicians, or, as the case may be, licensed dental surgeons and dentists, apothecaries or midwives residing in these Islands, who vote as hereunder. The nomination shall be by secret ballot and shall take place every year during the month of December on consecutive days and at a place or places and in the manner to be fixed by the Chief Government Medical Officer. A period of at least thirty-six hours shall be allowed for the recording of votes. The nomination thus made shall appl y to the year beginning on the 1st d ay o f January n ext following the holding of the ballot. In respect of the inquiries above-mentioned an advocate shall be appointed yearly by the Minister responsible for the Department of Health to serve also as a n ad d i t i o na l m e m b e r f o r th e so l e p u r p o s e o f a dv i s in g t h e Chairman of the Council regarding legal points of procedure and evidence and without having a vote. 6. For the purpose of conducting examinations for the license of assistant apothecary in the subjects which may from time to time be laid down by the Medical Council under article 21 of the Medical and Kindred Professions Ordinance, the Medical Council may appoint an examining board, to be composed of one of the regular members of the Medical Council as Chairman, and of two licensed apothecaries to be appointed annually by the Minister responsible for the Department of Health, who will sit as additional members of the Medical Council for the aforesaid purpose. 11. For the purposes of the provisions of articles 66 and 67 of the Medical and Kindred Professions Ordinance, and whenever any other matter concerning the dental profession and not covered by regulation 3 is being considered, the Council shall include the three dental surgeons appointed as additional members of the Council under regulation
12. The Council to include three additional apothecaries. Cap.
14. For the purposes of the provisions of article 19 of the Medical and Kindred Professions Ordinance, and whenever any other matter concerning the pharmaceutical profession and not covered by regulation 3 is being considered, the Council shall include the three apothecaries appointed as additional members of the Council under regulation
15. The Council to include three additional members of the nursing profession.
16. Whenever any matter concerning nurses or the nursing profession is being considered, the Council shall include three additional members to represent the nursing profession appointed by the Minister responsible for the Department of Health. Minutes to be kept by secretary.
17. Minutes of the proceedings of every sitting shall be kept by the secretary and shall be read at the commencement of the following sitting. They shall be accessible to the members at all times. Correspondence.

Each ordinary and additional member, other than government officers whose whole time is at the disposal of the G o v e r n m e nt , s ha l l , un l e s s h e i s a m em b e r o f t h e H o us e o f Representatives, be paid a fee of one euro and sixteen cents (1.16) for each for each sitting of the Council which he attends.
