ELECTIONS FOR THE ADVISORY AND EXECUTIVE BOARD [ S.L.94.08 SUBSIDIARY LEGISLATION 94.08 ELECTIONS FOR THE ADVISORY AND EXECUTIVE BOARD REGULATIONS * 24th December, 1959 LEGAL NOTICE 93 of 1959, as amended by Legal 91 of

  1. The title of these Regulations is Elections for the Advisory and Executive Board Regulations. Title.
  2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires - Interpretation. "Board" means the Advisory and Executive Board; "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board; "the Commission" means the Advisory and Executive Board Elections Comm ission establish ed by regulation 3 of these Regulations; "Gozo" includes Comino.
  3. In January of every year the Board shall appoint a Commission to be called the advisory and executive Board elections Commission, composed of three election Commissioners, to conduct elections to the Board during that year. Advisory and Executive Board Elections Commission.

When the Commission is informed by the Chairman that a vacancy occurs or is about to occur at an early date amongst the elected members of the Board it shall, as soon as may be, cause a notice to be published in the Government Gazette and in two daily newspapers specifying the place, days and times during which nominations of candidates for election to the Board will be received by the Commission.   5. A candidate shall be nominated in writing on a form in accordance with the specimen contained in the First Schedule. Whatever the number of vacancies to be filled, no person shall be nominated to fill more than one vacancy. Nomination.
