BOATMEN’S FEES ACT To make provision for the levying of a fee in respect of passengers not making use of dg]ajsas. XIII. 1948.3. "hired means of conveyance" † includes any boat or other craft provided by the agent himself or belonging to the ship on or from which the passengers embark or disembark; "Minister" means the Minister under whose jurisdiction the Customs Department may, from time to time, be.

Art. 4
The moneys accruing from the payment of the fees referred to in the last preceding article shall be administered by the Comptroller of Customs who shall pay the same, with such deductions as the Minister may direct, to the boatmen licensed to ply their trade in the Grand Harbour and Marsamxett Harbour, in accordance with regulations made by the Minister under article 5.
