MARRI AGE LEGACI ES ( GOZO) ( ADM I N I S T R AT I O N A N D E L E C T I O N ) [CAP. 109. 1 CHAPTER 109 MARRIAGE LEGACIES (GOZO) (ADMINISTRATION AND ELECTION) ORDINANCE To repeal Ordinance No. 1 of 1843 and Ordinance No. VIII of 1858 and to make provision for the administration of certain marriage legacies and for the election thereto. (31st December, 1940)* Enacted by ORDINANCE XXXVIII of 1940, as amended by Legal Notice 4 of 1963. 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Marriage Legacies (Gozo) (Administration and Election) Ordinance. Short title. 2. The administration of the marriage legacies founded in the Island of Gozo by Salvatore Refalo, Domenica Vassallo, Angelo Fantino, Perna Critelli and Giovanni Pace shall be vested in the Secretary for Gozo Affairs or other officer to be designated by the Prime Minister. Administration of legacies vested in Secretary for Gozo Affairs. Amended by: L.N. 4 of 1963. 3. (1) The right of election to the legacies mentioned in article 2 shall be vested in a Board consisting of the Commissioners of Charity for Gozo and of a representative appointed on that behalf by the Bishop of Gozo for the time being. Right of election vested in a Board. (2) The representative of the Bishop of Gozo shall preside at the meetings of the Board. *See Government Notice No. 626 of the 31st December, 1940.
