INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE SAFETY OF LIFE AT SEA (RATIFICATION) CHAPTER 314 INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE SAFETY OF LIFE AT SEA (RATIFICATION) ACT To ratify the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea. (18th July, 1986)* Enacted by ACT XXV of 1986 .

  1. This Act may be cited as the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (Ratification) Act.
  2. In this Act - Short title. Interpretation. "Convention" means the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea signed in London on the 1st November, 1974, and the Protocol thereto signed in London on the 17th February,
  3. In virtue of this Act, and in compliance with the provisions of the Ratification of Treaties Act, the Government of Malta is authorized to accede to the Convention. *See Government Notice No. 410 of the 18th July,
