- l. This Ordinance may be cited as the Animals (Control of Importation) Ordinance. Short title.
- The Minister responsible for agriculture may, whenever he thinks it expedient so to do for the protection of animal husbandry in Malta, make and, when made, vary or repeal, regulations for prohibiting or otherwise restricting and controlling the importation of animals or of any specified kind of animals into Malta. - If any person lands or attempts to land any animal in contravention of any regulation made by the Minister responsible for agriculture under the last preceding article, he shall be liable to the penalties imposed on persons importing or attempting to import goods the importation of which is prohibited by the Customs Ordinance and the animals in respect of which the offence is committed shall be forfeited.
